Comsol Paralel Computing Problem !

I want to use Comsol Paralel computing with Windows HPC 2008 R2. There are five Nodes one of which is Head-Node (Windows SERVER HPC). Among the workstations one Head-Node + quantity of four Workstation Node(Windows 7 ) only A workstation Node works actively with Parallel computing and when I try to make the others WORK, it says " Scheduling" and it freezes like that gives no other error.
All the settings in A workstations exist also in B-C-D Workstation Nodes. What might be the reason for Comsol being not able to make parallel computing between Head-Node and A Node while it makes it with the others? If that was a license problem, should not it suppose to give an error between A and Head-Node? Which parts I should check on Windows HPC and Comsol?

Hello,

We are trying to install COMSOL 5.2 on our linux cluster, and get the following fatal FPE. The system is
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.2 (Santiago)
vmlinuz-2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64
redhat-lsb-4.0-3.el6.x86_64
glibc-2.12-1.166.el6_7.7.i686
glib2-2.22.5-6.el6.x86_64

What version of Java Runtime is required?

Hello, everyone

I am trying to install COMSOL 5.2 on my computer, and get an error dialog:

Failed to decomperss fl_jvm_win64.isa
see log file for detail:
C:\Users\ADMIN~1\AppData\Local\Temp\comsolsetup_setup_5676.log

the log file gives the following message:

It seems that the fl_jvm_win64.isa cannot be decompressed in the progress on my computer. But COMSOL 5.0 can be correctly installed. And V5.0 also contains the flie fl_jvm_win64.isa .
What is the problem? Can anyone help me？

Hello,

I have got a license for comsol v5.2 (trail version for 2 weeks) Failed to connect to server. No connection could be made because the targer machine actviely refuse it.

Can anyone suggest what I can do to make it work?

I installed comsol verison 5.2 but i can't find ray optics module in that, its just showing the wave optics. Please help me with this. I don't know if i have to install add on function for this or something else. Please reply soon its urgent project work.

How to plot time-dependent temperature profile at a point

Hi all,

I have 1 question over here, i have been using the SAR head tutorial (Provided by comsol tutorial) to do research for my school project and i have 1 problem over here which is, i cant seems to plot temperature VS time graph. i had searched though the internet for solution and i did follow their steps but still i cant manage to get it. whatever i try to plot, the time will varies but the temperature remains the same throughout which makes my curve looks like one horizontal straight line.

I will really appreciate if someone can take a look at the attached picture (i can't seems to upload my model file here) and suggest to me what should i do next.

How to call external MATLAB functions from COMSOL?

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with calling an external MATLAB function from COMSOL model and I would be grateful for any assistance.
When I try to call an external MATLAB function from COMSOL I get an error which said:

"External MATLAB functions are disabled in the security preferences".

What does this security preferences mean? Due to this fact that I use Academic license for MATLAB, could it be the source of error? or I missed something else?

Hello Everyone!
I added a picture here of how my COMSOL is working... or better saying, not working at all.
I'm afraid I need to buy some video enhancements for my computer to be able to use it.
Anyway... is there any possibility to fix it just by changing some configurations ?
Even If I have poor visualization power, I don't care haha.
I just need to be able to use it properly.

CAD Import Module Error...

Hi,

I have created a CAD model and tried to import it into COMSOL, but I was encountered with this error:

''Feature: Import 1
CAD Import Module functionality is not installed.
Note: CAD Import Module functionality is included in the Design Module and the LiveLink products for
CAD''.

Now, I am not sure if there is simply a feature (Add-in) that needs to be activated or added to my current version of COMSOL (5.2), or I should have installed a completely different COMSOL version which would have had the CAD Import Module feature, in the first place?

Your help will be really appreciated.

I am new to COMSOL and would like to model a piezoelectric energy harvester in structural mechanics module. Gradually, I would want to model the mechanical part in COMSOL and link it to PSPICE where the electrical circuit part will be done. So please provide me with the proper steps and guidance so that I can try it and study the performace analysis.

Problem running COMSOL 4.0a with MATLAB

Hi all,

having studied the manual, I can't get the LiveLink for MATLAB functioning. I use Windows and MATLAB R2010a. At my university the preferred way is to first start a COMSOL server and then start MATLAB and run the mphstart function. The mli-path is added to the MATLAB directory. COMSOL is listening to port 2036, but when running mphstart gives the following error

problem in refreshing graphics window

I just installed COMSOL V 4.4 on my computer (for the first time, exciting :) )

Unfortunately the graphics window isn't refreshing.

After I build geometry, I can't see the new graph unless I change the size of the graphics windows. So I can't do anything because each time in order to update the picture in the graphics window, I need to 'trigger' it by changing the shape of that window.

I tried to set again the factory settings and of course it didn't help since it didn't work from the beginning.

How can I set the automatic refreshing of the Graphics window.

Hello,

I m new on COMSOL . I work in an university as internship and I need to create an app on COMSOL server.
But the problem is that when I click on " try on browser" nothing happens. I don't think if the link between my COMSOL version and COMsol server is done. But I don't know if I can create it without download back COMSOl.
Can you help me ?

Post Process Issue: Title; Time unit is not correct.

Hello,

I have been using Comsol 5.1. I did a 53 hours of simulation for a heat problem. I did a time dependent simulation of 1.3 ms. I got my results. Everything was fine.

Then i updated my software to 5.2. Now, in the post processing of the temperature distribution, my final time step is presented like "Time=0.0013 ms". I got the same problem for the previous time steps as well.

It is like that Comsol is considering the time as "second" but using the unit as "millisecond".

Is there a way to fix it without resolving 2 day simulation?

In some of my models I can see the equation view under each physics node but for some others, I can not see that. I use the same software. How can I hide or unhide this feature?
